The kit features over 40 experimental piano preparations and unique soundscapes ranging from industrial influenced percussion, booming basslines, atonal plucks and shimmering pads. It's out now.

As part of a triple bill at the Royal Swedish Ballet in Stockholm, ‘Totality in Parts’ by Lukáš Timulak will be premiered on November 2, 2018. It is inspired by the avant-garde movement of the 1920s to get a new sense of space by questioning existing formal approaches.

Volker Bertelmann has been chosen to become a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. New members will be welcomed into the Academy in the fall.
Volker Bertelmann is scoring Vanessa Jopp's latest feature film, an adaptation of Daniel Glattauer's best-selling novel starring among others Nora Tschirner and Alexander Fehling. Produced by Komplizen Film and set to be released in fall 2019.

Sony Classical announced the signing of Volker Bertelmann in a new long-term recording contract. The collaboration’s first fruits will herald a return of the artist to his musical origins with an album of melodic solo piano works to be released in early 2019.
